Jane Chin’s Reality Check on Blogging for Money or “Problogging”

Many people want to blog professionally - to become “probloggers”.

I didn’t start with this desire.

My blogs are a creatively outlet that happens to make enough money - at this moment - to help pay for my household expenses. I’m a blogger who also generate revenue with my blogs.

I want to blog only when I feel inspired to blog about something, instead of feeling obligated to “update” or else I’ll lose traffic and ad revenues.

I want my blogs to make money even if I blog once a week or once a month or once a quarter.

In other words, I want to blog in such a way that residual and passive income are generated. I DEFINITELY don’t want blogging to be a second job.
